Bringing Arabic Slang to Life

"Everyone has their own perspective and way of seeing the world. This project began with the goal of visually capturing and sharing these unique viewpoints through illustration. We set out to create a vibrant series of drawings that bring popular Arabic slang expressions to life in a fun and engaging manner.

Our design journey started with thorough research to identify well-known Arabic slangs from various regions across the Arab world. We then developed rough sketches to explore different visual interpretations of each slang expression. These initial sketches were created quickly and loosely to allow experimentation with various styles and compositions.

The final phase of the project involved printing the illustrations in a distinctive and captivating way. We employed Risoprinting, a technique where each color is printed separately to achieve bold, vivid hues and a striking visual impact.

This project combines colorful, playful, and imaginative elements to celebrate the richness of Arabic language and culture, making everyday expressions both visually appealing and memorable."
